Gotta Respect These Guys Who Tux It Up And Booze Heavily For Every Phillies Home Opener
As you’re aware this Monday is the Phillies home opener. 3 of my friends and I have been dressing up in tuxedos and going to the game for the last 6 years. My one friend has season tickets 1st row 3rd base line, and what started as an attempt to get on sportscenter, has gradually been reduced to simply tradition. We usually rent a limo and tailgate in K lot looking like the biggest of idiots. However, we have a great time and usually get on TV every year.
This year is no different, and we will be arriving in a stretch limo dressed to the nines in our formal black tuxes, red vests, and red chuck taylors. If you happen to be at the game, tailgating, and drowning in the frustration that is this baseball team, please feel free to join us. We shouldn’t be hard to locate, as we’ll be the only idiots arriving in a giant limo wearing tuxes. Attached are a few pictures of the past years.

It’s easy to hate and call these guys Fag Fountains left and right. But you know what? I absolutely love these guys. Do you know how hard it is to hold ANYTHING down with your bro’s from high school/college as you grow older? Careers, marriages, jail time. It’s damn near impossible. After our D-III glory mediocre embarrassing days were over a couple of us made a pact that every year we’d choose 1 big game a year we’d RV into (since we missed out on bigtime/real football playing on Saturdays during college). Alabama, Texas, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Virginia Tech, WVU – The works. So of course everyone dicktaps around until August each year and IF we do something, it’s Penn State. Not complaining, but it’s tough to get a bunch of grown up assholes organized. And that’s where I commend these sailors for setting a tradition, sticking to it and getting blitzed every year.
Doing the bull dance, feeling the flow. No shot that hardo bull mechanic at PBR let this tux master last more than .03 seconds up there. The only thing that dude hates more than other guys getting more attention than him is sleeves.
